Assessment and shoreline surveys were carried out during the first days in collaboration with ITOPF and CEDRE in the aim to set-up a clean-up action plan.

Our intervention in illustrations...
The impacted areas were very varied (sand areas, rocky coves, pebble beaches, dikes, pedestrian zones, docks etc.) and our team had to adapt to many difficulties such as protected species (seaweeds, vegetation), ecologically sensitive sites, impacted posidonias, debris and macro-waste, presence of old pollution etc...
We also had to adapt our cleaning techniques (sorting, manual / mechanical recovery in surface and in depth, scrapping, high pressure and mechanical cleaning etc.) to the different types and characteristics of the pollution encountered (pellets, tar balls, oil patties, patches, oil cakes etc.) with the elementary environmental precautions needed for operations of this nature.
